Bhagavathiamman temple also known as Kumariamman, Devi Kumari and Kanya Devi represents virgin deity of Devi Parvathy. This temple located on the seashore of southern tip of Tamil Nadu. As many other temples in Kanyakumari, this temple holdsmyth of Vigin Devi Parvathi destroys demon king Banasura. This temple is also renowned for the nose ring of Kanya Devi, which is very powerful and the glitter from the ring can seen from long distance. Kanyakumari got its name from goddess Devi KanyaKumarithat means virgin girl.

Suchindrum Temple

Suchindram is a holy place and a town of temples situated on the bank of river Pazhayar. A busy town of pilgrims located at a distance of 7 Km from Nagercoil and 11 Km from Kanyakumari. There are many temples lying in this landscape though Thanumalayan Temple is unique for its lone representation of trinity deitiesShiva, Vishnu and Brahama in same sanctum. Consisting about 30 shrines of different deities in a single structure, Thanumalavan temple is an example of ancient architecture with marveloussculpture and artworks crafted by fine architects. This mythological temple holds many legends by itself. Alankaramandapam with many musical pillars and 18 feet giant Haunuman are other exquisite artistic feature of this temple.

Peer Mohammed OliyullahDargah is a very old mosque situated in a village Thuckalay, near Nagercoil, Kanyalumari District. It was named after the great Thenkasi born Tamil poet and philosopher Mohammed Appa. It is believed that Mohammed Appa was in friendly relationship with one of the Kings of CheraDynasty and set up the foundation for Padmanabhapuram palace.

St.Xavier's Church

St. Xavier Church is a historic and one of the very old churches in Tamil Nadu. The Church is located in Kottar, Nagercoil at a distance of 18 Km from Kanyakumari. It was built in 1600 A.D. and got the name from a Spanish priest St. Francis Xavier who arrived at Kottar in 1542 A.D from Goa. Named as VallayaPandaram by locals St. Xavier was once averted invasion of Padagasfrom Venad. The church was renovated in 1865 and later in 1930 raised to the status of a cathedral.
