Pachiparai Dam

Pechiparai dam is located in a hillside village called pechiparai which is 43 Km from Nagercoil. It was constructed a century ago during the Travancore King MoolamThirunal’s rule in the end of 18th century. Situated in the midst of dense forest of Western Ghats this reservoir built across the river Kodayar.The length of the dam is 425.1 M and height of 120.7 M with catchment area of 204.8 sq. km. The reservoir is major source of water in this reign which is mainly used for irrigation and drinking purpose. Pechiparai dam surrounded by rolling mountains with lofty trees is hotspot location for natural sceneries.
Mukkadal Dam

Mukkudal reservoir is a major resource for Nagercoil Municipality’s water consumption located at a distance of 10 Km from Nagercoil. Travancore King ChithiraVarmabuilt this dam across the Vambaru Riverin 1945. Pleasant climate with mild breeze, picturesque scenes of natural beauty and quietatmosphere enclosedby mountains makes this place a top priority to relax and breathe some fresh air.

Perunchani dam is situated at a distance of 42 Km from Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District. The dam serves as an irrigation resource for thousands of acres of agriculture lands. Constructed across the Paralayar River the dam’s length is about 373.10 meters. Surrounding environment of elegant hills with tall trees mesmerizes our eyes.
Tiruparappu Water Falls

Thiraparappu waterfall isone of the fabulous waterfalls in Kanyakumari District. It can be reached at a distance of 13 Km from Pechiparai Dam and 60 Km from Kanyakumari. Streams orginates from Kodayarriver forms a roaring cascade about 50 feet pouring on rocky surface. Surging streams in this waterfall continuously flows for 7 months. Children can have more fun at a newly constructed swimming pool. Strongly fortified Shiva temple along the banks of Kodayarriver gives us pious atmosphere.

Ulakkai Aruvi

Ullakaarvi also termed as Olakaruvi is enthralling waterfall located near small village Azhakiyapandiapuram that is 35 Km from Kanyakumari and 17 Km from Nagercoil. Getting Ullaaruvi is most adventurous experience as it cascades in midst of the dense forest of Western Ghats and one can reach here only by footpath as there is no roads for vehicles. About an hour of walk into Steep Mountain with rocky paths and lofty trees to this waterfall is most exhilarating experience.
Vattaparai Falls

Amidst the lush green pastures of Keeriparai reserve forest is vattaparai falls. This reserved forest is located near Boothapandi village at a distance of 32 Km from Kanyakumari and 25 Km from Nagercoil. This is the elegant land of thick rainforest with rich flora and fauna. Vattaparai falls and its environment is very serene and pollution free landscape.
